Michael joined Commercial team at Coldwell Banker, Sloane Realty in 2022. His focus is commercial brokerage and leasing, with an emphasis on the Retail market segment. That said, his brokerage skills have been developed across all parts of the commercial real estate landscape. Michael also has a background in property management services, with experience in managing shopping centers, medical offices, and investment properties. As the owner and operator of local small businesses throughout much of his career, Michael has a unique understanding of what it takes to be successful. He helped form the Calabash Merchants Association and acted as the chairman for the first three years. While operating his jewelry store in Calabash, Michael served on a mayor-appointed committee consisting of business owners, residents, developers, and commissioners to rewrite the Town’s Unified Development Ordinance. In recent years, Michael has worked with the staff and planning department of Sunset Beach, NC during their rewrite of their current UDO. Michael also served as a board member of the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce, creating a lasting connection to the local business community. A native of Southeastern North Carolina, Michael has worked and studied all over the country giving him a unique blend of local knowledge mixed with outside perspective. His business background along with his involvement with local government makes him a perfect fit for the Commercial team at Coldwell Banker, Sloane Realty. Michael lives in Ocean Isle Beach with his wife and two children. He enjoys coaching his son’s sports teams, being a “prop dad” for his daughter’s dance studio, surfing, and traveling.
