Bird Island – This 1,300 acre State Preserve barrier island is connected to Sunset Beach and is reachable by boat, walking, or biking along the beach. The only inhabitants of this island are flora and fauna. Bring your boat on vacation and venture out to enjoy the shoreline, dunes, maritime forest, and marshlands around the island. Spend the day tanning, exploring or just relaxing with friends.
Tubbs Inlet – Located near Sunset Beach, Tubbs Inlet is easily accessible by boat or kayak. The fishing here is exceptional. Access points are through Jinks Creek or the public launch at the base of Ocean Isle Bridge.

Fibber McGees – This well kept secret is an Irish pub located in Sunset Beach. It’s where you can enjoy a full menu that includes appetizers, sandwiches & paninis and dinner entrees as well as drinks. They have daily food and drink specials, live music, full bar and great food! Located at 1780-1 Queen Anne St., Sunset Beach.
Sunset Beach Concert Series – Every year between Memorial Day and Labor Day this free concert series takes place at the Village Park in Seaside Village, Sunset Beach. Concerts are held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, weather permitting. Bring a beach chair and wear your dancing shoes!
